Gauge Installation on a Gen 2 Dodge Cummins

For RAMs equipped with the factory infinity speaker you will have to cut the strain relief (arrow) to give the wire some more slack. Remove the speaker by gently pressing on it's retaining clips and then remove the speaker grille.

The new gauge mount will be attached to the factory pillar.  The gauge mount instructions require you to grind out the speaker nub (bump). If you would like to avoid this, simply purchase a new factory A-Pillar with out the speaker option (Mopar Part #: 5ES57LAZ). You can attach the gauge mount to this new pillar and retain you factory pillar for future reinstallation.

Snap in the factory pillar and hold the gauge mount over the factory pillar.  Hold it up tight against the headliner.  Press the door molding back into place and mark a location with a pencil for the 2 fasteners (one top and one bottom).  While holding the gauge mount up tight against the headliner, drill 2 holes with a 3/16" drill bit for the fasteners.   You will be drilling the other 2 fastener holes (windshield side) later.

Remove the gauge mount and factory pillar, line up the 2 drilled holes (insert screws to prevent shifting between the two) and drill the 2 remaining windshield side holes.
